HOW DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORK?
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR BACHELOR’S STUDY PROGRAMS

1. Apply Online

You start your application by filling out our online application form. You will then be sent an email containing your login details for our upload area, where you will need to upload the required documents as indicated in the portal.

To allow us to process your application, it is important that you upload your school-leaving certificate and your CV. The other documents can be uploaded at a later stage. We will perform a pre-check on your certificate but are required to pass on your certificates to the Hessian State Ministry for Higher Education, Research and the Arts, who will make the official decision on whether you will be able to study in Germany. This is why we also need officially certified copies of the following documents (not the originals – these copies will be retained by the Ministry):

  1. your passport or identity card
  2. your school-leaving certificate plus the appropriate university entrance qualification certificate where applicable
  3. a translation of your school-leaving certificate by a sworn translator residing in Germany. School-leaving certificates in English are exempt from this rule.
  4. a transliteration if your certificates are not written in the Latin alphabet

2. ADMISSION TALK, FEEDBACK & ADMISSION

In order to be admitted to a study program in Economics & Media or Health & Social Sciences, we will invite you to a personal admission talk (online or via phone) during which we would like to get to know you better. You will receive feedback on the next working day.

If you have passed the admission test and qualified for a study program at Hochschule Fresenius, you will receive the study contract from our International Admissions Team. Please sign and return this as soon as possible.

If you are a non-EU national with a non-EU school-leaving certificate, the admissions committee will review your application. If you are accepted, you will then receive a preliminary agreement from Hochschule Fresenius. You will be required to pay a security deposit equivalent to EUR 3,000 (this is not an additional fee; the deposit will be deducted from your tuition). Once we have received the deposit, we will send your study contract and letter of acceptance.

3. MATRICULATION

After you have been admitted to a study program at Hochschule Fresenius, you can see in our upload area which documents we require for your matriculation. The documents that must be submitted as officially certified copies are marked there accordingly. Please submit your documents by the deadline.
