This is complemented by the promotion of soft skills, intercultural competence and a global perspective, so that you are ideally prepared to actively shape complex transformation processes in an international corporate context.
At the beginning, the curriculum contains introductory courses in engineering, business administration, and mathematics which form the basis for much of the more advanced content. Building on this foundation, you will acquire knowledge in information and communication technologies, hardware and software applications, as well as business and information management. Main focus areas include the digital transformation of companies, process optimization, production and logistics systems, and the combination of technical and economic perspectives in order to successfully tackle complex tasks in interdisciplinary projects. In the 4th and 5th semester, you will have the opportunity to focus on two specializations according to your personal interests. This allows you to tailor your studies to your individual needs and gain deeper insights into the topics that interest you most and are particularly relevant to your career goals. If required, the specializations can also be completed flexibly as online or face-to-face courses. You can choose from the following specializations:
- Technical Services
- Production and Logistics (incl. lab-work)
- International Management
- Industry 4.0
This study program places great emphasis on practical relevance. In addition to sound theoretical knowledge, you will be introduced to professional practice at an early stage and gain initial practical experience. In the specializations in the 4th and 5th semester, you can expect practical laboratories – two of them digital, one in physical presence, for example a two-day laboratory event at a partner company. Interactive teaching formats such as workshops, guest lectures and excursions round off the practical learning experience. You also have the option of completing a practical semester in the 6th semester. This extends the duration of your studies from six to seven semesters, allowing you to apply what you have learned in your studies directly in a real-world business environment.
