Your study program in detail
The International Tourism & Event Management Master’s study program provides specific expertise in tourism and event management as well as an understanding of the general principles of business administration with an international outlook.
In the first and second semester, you will learn about interdisciplinary aspects of international tourism and event management, international business management, and advanced management. You will spend the third semester abroad before returning to complete the degree in the fourth semester, most of which is dedicated to the Master’s thesis. All program content is taught in English.

During your studies at Hochschule Fresenius, you will always take a practically oriented approach to new topics and questions as well as attending frequent excursions and guest lectures to gain a direct insight into everyday working life in the tourism and events sector.
You will also spend the third semester of your Master’s program in International Tourism & Event Management (M.A.) abroad in a non-German-speaking country, where you will complete an internship in order to familiarize yourself with your chosen professional fields and to gain vocational experience by participating in specific work processes.

Your way to Hochschule Fresenius
To be admitted to the Master’s study program in International Tourism & Event Management (M.A.) at Hochschule Fresenius, you need to fulfil the following requirements:
You must have completed a Bachelor’s study program with at least 180 credit points (or equivalent).
In your previous Bachelor’s degree, you must have gained at least 60 Credit Points from modules in economics. If you don’t have enough credit points in this subject, you have to pass an admission test, for example. For more information, please contact our study advice service.
Your English language skills must be equivalent to Level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
You haven’t completed your Bachelor’s degree yet? At Hochschule Fresenius, you can start your Master’s program and finish your Bachelor’s program at the same time, provided you have attained at least 80 percent of the credit points by the time of enrolment. In addition, Bachelor’s students at Hochschule Fresenius will only pay the monthly Master’s tuition fees when starting the Master’s program.
