Graduates of the study program Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (M.Sc.) will have gained a sound knowledge and hands-on competencies required by the biopharmaceutical industry in key-areas such as (bio)molecular sciences, bioprocess engineering and industrial processes.
As a graduate of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (M.Sc.) program, you will have advanced your practical skills through a variety of laboratory classes and workshops and will have learned to work independently on scientific projects similar to those experienced in an industrial context.

Furthermore you are able to apply their knowledge in regulatory affairs to the biopharmaceutical value chain. You are also trained in biotechnological and bioanalytical methods for the analysis of (bio)pharmaceuticals and relevant excipients.
During your studies, you will complete three laboratory internships to apply your knowledge in practice.

Admission requirements
To be admitted to the full-time master’s study program in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (M.Sc.) at Hochschule Fresenius, you need to fulfil the following admission requirements:
You must have completed a bachelor’s degree with at least 180 credit points in a chemistry- or biology-related field of study, such as pharmacy, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
You should have previous knowledge in the fields of organic chemistry and biochemistry, e.g., documented by successfully completed modules.
The study program is taught in English, therefore you’ll also need English language skills at Level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
